ICFGM has sponsored, helped and designed activities at the India tent for over ten years. At our tent children learn about some of the ways plants are used in Indian culture i.e. Rangoli and learning about spices. NCC Spring Jam 2016 – Indian Community @ Work!
The Indian community came out in large numbers to support the Neighborhood Christian Center’s Spring Jam Event. This year the focus was on ‘visiting India’. Wolf River Conservancy – Annual Tree Planting Day. March 19th 2016
The Wolf River Conservancy celebrated their annual plant-a-tree day today (postponed from last week due to inclement weather). Despite the cold weather and icy wind about 300 volunteers from various organizations showed up to plant 500 Rosebud trees and a few hundred butterfly attracting flowering plants. Members from the Indian community braved the thunderstorms and flash-flooding to help volunteer at the WKNO Channel 10 (PBS) telethon from 7PM-10PM last night.We answered the phones and took pledges from callers.
